Acute Kidney Injury and Acute Pancreatitis in Patients with Chronic Hypertension and COVID-19: A Case Report

BACKGROUND: Hypertensive patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) are facing high morbidity and mortality. These morbidities include acute kidney injury (AKI) pancreatitis, which have an incidence of about 17% each. Severe respiratory syndrome-corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV2) penetrates cells through the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2) receptor is widely found in tract, gastrointestinal kidneys, pancreas, other organs. The multiplies airway then enters circulation bound to ACE2 receptors tissue. CASE REPORT: This case report presents a chronic hypertensive patient COVID-19 accompanied by complications AKI pancreatitis. CONCLUSION: risk factor for death patients, where involvement thought be due direct infection SARS-CoV2 or complicating conditions, pancreatitis occurs COVID-19.
